About CPSS
Mission
Cal Poly Space Systems gives students hands-on experience in designing, building, testing, launching, and recovering rockets. Guided by Cal Poly’s “Learn by Doing” philosophy, we welcome participants from all majors and backgrounds to develop practical skills in propulsion, structures, controls, recovery, and electronics.
Heritage & Background
Based at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, CPSS is built on student initiative, hard work, and independence. Our projects are designed, manufactured, and operated entirely by students. As these projects grow in complexity, we continue to expand our resources and capabilities to support increasingly ambitious work.
